Mrs. Jean F. English, 84 of Canton, Mo. died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 3:50 AM at Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, Missouri.

The daughter of Wilbur and Leila Carlin Selway was born on August 18, 1927 at Williamstown, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Ray English on November 23, 1950 at Williamstown, Missouri.

Jean was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton. She graduated from Williamstown High School and Chillicothe Business College where she received her secretarial degree. She worked at Culver-Stockton College in Canton for thirteen years. She was also a member of Quincy Eagles Auxillary #535.

She is survived by her husband Ray English of Canton, Mo.; a daughter, Cathy English of Columbia, Mo. and a granddaughter, Allison Hemenway of Columbia, Mo. and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday April 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton with Brian LeDoux officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Country Aire Retirement Estates Auxillary.

Pallbearers: Howard Wagner, Bernard English, Lowell English, Tom Brown, Lincoln Brown and Richard Blackmore.
